A Germany-based furniture manufacturer specializes in designing a wide range of soundproof office booths, serving various European nations. They had been managing their business operations manually using Excel, which was causing a number of problems, including errors, inaccuracies, and inefficiency. And to improve their business operations efficiencies, the client wanted to implement Odoo inventory management system. So, they will be able to automate its inventory management, purchasing, sales, and billing processes.


The team Zehntech, assisted the furniture manufacturer with the implementation of Odoo. Team worked closely with the company to understand its needs and requirements, and integrated Odoo modules to meet those needs. Business Challenge

Our client was facing challenges in managing their range of products. They were manually managing their business operations in Excel, which was leading to errors and inefficiencies. For example, they were having trouble

  • Accurately predicting furniture demand, which led to overstocking or understocking.
  • Experiencing errors in order processing
  • Warehouse management was inefficient
  • Additionally, manual accounts management was leading to financial leakages

To address these challenges, we needed to find a solution that would optimize the entire process, mitigate human errors, and reduce delays in product delivery.

Business Solution

To address these challenges and automate their business processes, Zehntech implemented an Odoo Inventory System that includes the following modules:

 

Inventory: This module tracks inventory in real time, so our client can always know how much stock they have on hand and where it is located. It also alerts them when inventory levels are low or high, so they can take action to avoid stockouts or overstocks.

 

Sales: This module helps our client create and manage sales orders and quotations. It also integrates with other modules to update inventory, manage customer information, and generate invoices.

Purchase: This module helps our client create and manage purchase orders, vendor information, and procurement processes. It also integrates with inventory to update product categories and quantity upon receipt of goods.

Invoicing: This module helps our client create and manage invoices, credit notes, and payment tracking. It also integrates with other modules to ensure accurate billing based on sales and purchases.

Reporting: This module provides visual reporting of data from different modules in the form of bar charts, graphs, line charts, and pie charts. This helps our client gain insights into their business operations.

In addition to implementing the Odoo Inventory System, Zehntech also:

  • Configured the system to align with our client’s business workflow. This ensures that the system is easy to use and that it meets the specific needs of our client.
  • Migrated our client’s existing inventory, purchase and sales history, and customer information from Excel to Odoo. This ensured that our client’s data was transferred accurately and efficiently.
  • Provided training sessions for our client’s staff on the new system’s features and functionalities. This helped our client’s staff get up to speed quickly and start using the system to its full potential.
